Made with simple ingredients like sour cream, mayonnaise, and dried dill, this flavorful dip is quick to whip up and full of deliciously zesty flavor.

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Serve with cut up vegetables, chips, and crackers.

Notes

Variations

  • Pickles ~ Stir in 1/2 cup of finely chopped dill pickles for a pickle dip.
  • Spicy ~ Add 1-2 tablespoons of hot sauce or up to 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
  • Fresh ~ Substitute 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill for the dried dill. Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
  • Low fat ~ Swap out the full fat versions of sour cream and mayonnaise for the low fat ones for a lightened up dip.

How to serve

  • Fresh vegetables ~ Celery sticks, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, and slices of bell peppers are just a few of my favorite veggie dippers.
  • Crunchy and crispy snacks ~ Dip pretzels, potato chips, tortilla chips, pita chips, crackers, and corn chips.
  • Bread bowl ~ Hollow out a round loaf of bread (sourdough is a fave) and fill it with dip. Serve it with cut up cubes of bread as dippers.
  • Burger and sandwich spread ~ Slather dill dip on top of burgers, sandwiches and in wraps.
  • Roasted vegetables ~ Dill dip is a tasty dip for roasted broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and sweet potato or regular french fries. Spoon the dip over baked potatoes too.
  • Sauce ~ Dollop the dip on sauteed, grilled or baked chicken, fish, shrimp, pork chops or tenderloin, steaks and filet mignon.
