How does a personal chef service work?
I am a Certified Personal Chef through the Culinary Business Academy of the United States Personal Chef Association, fully insured, and certified in food safety with ServSafe. My service area is in New Jersey and includes Sparta and the surrounding communities in Sussex and Morris counties. After you contact me, we will set up your in-home consultation. We will discuss the food likes and dislikes of everyone in your home including any allergies. All the meals prepared will be exactly the way you want to eat. I will plan a customized menu for you and we will set your first cook date. It is not necessary for you to be home when I’m cooking.
When your cook date arrives, I will shop for the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. Next I’ll arrive at your home, carrying groceries and any necessary tools. Depending on your menu, cooking and clean up will take between 4 and 6 hours. I will package and label all meals and place them in the refrigerator or freezer (you will decide this at our consultation). A menu listing all items and heating instructions will be left, your kitchen will be clean.
Weekly or bi-weekly service is recommended. However, less frequent options are available based on your needs.
What will my service cost?
Various packages are available for your personal chef service based on the number of entrees you chose.
The following are included in your package price:
- In-home consultation • Custom menu planning
- Grocery shopping • Cooking of all your meals
- Packaging and labeling • Detailed menu with heating instructions
- All the clean up!!!
What services are available?
The packages listed below are samples of the services that are available. The benefit of a personal chef is that if one of the packages does not fit your needs, I can customize one for you.
Three entrees with sides 3 entrees with side dishes for 4 people (12 individual servings)
$240 plus the cost of groceries
Four entrees with sides 4 entrees with side dishes for 4 people (16 individual servings)
$275 plus the cost of groceries
Five entrees with sides 5 entrees with side dishes for 4 people (20 individual servings)
$310 plus the cost of groceries
Grocery costs are extra and depend on the menu that is chosen. There may also be a cost for containers. It is determined by how you chose to have your meals packaged.
